# Deployment Guide - rooSports

## Prerequisites
- Node.js >= 18.x
- npm >= 9.x
- PostgreSQL or MySQL database instance

## Deployment Steps
1. **Clone & Set Up Environment**:
   ```bash
   git clone https://git.infotech.monash.edu/UGIE/ugie-2026/team135/team135-app_fit3048.git
   cd team135-app_fit3048/Development
   cp .env.example .env
   ```
2. **Install Dependencies**:
   ```bash
   npm install
   ```
3. **Database Migration & Prisma Setup**:
   ```bash
   npx prisma generate
   npx prisma db push
   ```
4. **Build Production Application**:
   ```bash
   npm run build
   ```
5. **Start Production Server**:
   ```bash
   npm run start
   ```

## Root Proxy Execution
Alternatively, execute build commands directly from the root repository directory:
```bash
npm run build   # Proxy command: runs npm --prefix Development run build
npm run start   # Proxy command: runs npm --prefix Development run start
```
